NY 2006 at BHI

We spent New Year's Eve at Bald Head Island. Parker made it to midnight for the 2nd year! We
enjoyed our family tradition of Chocolate Fondue on New Year's Eve (what gives us the energy to make it until midnight!).
Our current favorite Sky comment is "I don't know...?"

We also took a brief walk on the beach. It was fun for a while until the wind got too cold!

2 Longhorn Fans

Parker and Sky have rediscovered their Texas roots with some Longhorn accessories from Grandad Kay!

The Stockings Were Hung by the Chimney with Care

Parker & Sky carefully organize the stockings by the fireplace in hopes that Saint Nicholas will soon arrive. Sure enough -- he did!! We had a fun filled day with lots of special gifts and memories. The big Santa gift was a giant airbounce that was inflated in the TV room when the kids came downstairs. After an initial stage of fright, Sky enjoyed this immensely. We left it up for a week (it blows up very quickly) and it was enjoyed by both Parker and Sky and Parker's friends. Sky received a "Dora" doll from Santa, while he brought Parker rollerblades. Other special gifts included a new baby doll, a schoolbus and an umbrella for Sky and Bionicles galore plus a BestBuy gift card (for an XBOX 360 when avail.) for Parker. Parker gave his mom a sanddollar necklace with a diamond he "mined" at the Festival of Trees. So much excitement... Sky is a little regretful about the season being over, she still sings Jingle Bells and Frosty the Snowman. She has been saying hopefully "Christmas is coming". When no response is given she suggests "We go Trick or Treat??"

It is hard to get perspective on the airbounce -- it does fit in our living room, but without leaving room for much else!
